Our Focus
After a period of renewal and refocus to strengthen our impact for place-based Housing Justice, Just Home facilitated Connections Week in March 2026 in partnership with the Shire of Augusta Margaret River. This enabled us to collect evidence-based data of the diverse housing needs and services required for this area. Connections Week was a whole of community collaborative project, which captured the key drivers of homelessness in our region. The results can be seen in the Connections Week Report, gratefully received from ARUP’s pro-bono work both on the ground and collating all the data for this report.
Just Home’s work is grounded in our role coordinating and convening the Social & Affordable Housing Taskforce. Since 2022, the Taskforce has provided expertise with place-based knowledge for progressing social and affordable housing in the Augusta Margaret River region. By bringing together local government; community housing providers; community organisations; peak bodies; and people with lived experience, the Taskforce’s collaboration strengthens our impact in creating diverse housing initiatives suited to this region.

Just Home coordinates and convenes the Taskforce to:

Just Home’s impact comes from the mechanisms in Taskforce — the engine room where relationships, advocacy, sector expertise, and collective action come together to move social and affordable housing forward in the AMR region.

Community Goals
Just Home is the voice for housing justice in Augusta Margaret River and our Southwest neighbours. We advocate for an increase of social and affordable housing in our community, including in new housing developments.
Just Home aims to create changes by building awareness around innovative ideas how AMR community can work together to support diverse housing options. Just Home’s mechanism to see these exciting, place-based ideas implemented, is through the expertise and work of the Social & Affordable Housing Taskforce.

Just Home considers Environmental Social Governance for Private Developers & Community Foundation Philanthropists
An Environmental Social Governance that is place-based aligned & community driven, could become a housing solution for Augusta Margaret River.
